Jade O. Laye is the Founder of Laye Investments LLC and a multifamily syndicator with more than fifteen years of experience acquiring, repositioning, and operating over 3,350 single family and multifamily units across Texas, Arkansas, Memphis, and Atlanta. Jade has controlled or owned more than 420 million dollars in real estate assets, including value add acquisitions and ground up developments designed to deliver double digit annualized returns over a five year hold, with an average investor return on investment of 66 percent over a 2.75 year hold.

Since February 2016, Jade has served as General Partner on a series of multifamily investments, including Sam Rayburn Townhomes, a 118 unit ground up development in Melissa, Texas that began construction in October 2023, Pinnacle Heights Apartments, a 295 unit property with 18 retail units in Rogers, Arkansas that closed in June 2023, Ranch at Sienna Apartments, a 312 unit property in the Houston metropolitan area that closed in July 2022, Bridgewater at Mount Zion Apartments, a 200 unit property in the Atlanta metropolitan area that closed in February 2022, and Reserve at 2070 Apartments, a 244 unit property in the Atlanta metropolitan area that closed in November 2021. Jade has been a member of the Apartment Investor Mastery, known as Sumrok, Group since 2016 and has served as its Multifamily Coach since February 2025, and has been a member of the Sumrok Millionaire Master Mind since 2019.

Since 2009, Jade has also built a single family rental portfolio across Texas, Arkansas, and Memphis, Tennessee, serving as owner and operator of 53 single family rental units and managing more than 55 rehabilitation projects both in and out of state. Jade manages a team responsible for rehab, leasing, and daily operations across the rental portfolio, and was a member of Lifestyles Unlimited, a global leader in real estate investment education, from 2009 to 2016.

In addition to a career in real estate investment, Jade has practiced as a Patent Attorney in Houston, Texas since 2005 and currently serves as Partner at Haynes and Boone, LLP, one of the largest Texas based law firms in the United States. Jade holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, earned in 2001, a Juris Doctorate earned in 2004, and an LLM in Patent Law from The George Washington University, earned in 2005. In this role, Jade advises and counsels clients on intellectual property matters, including patent procurement, infringement, and validity, and prosecutes patent applications related to electrical, mechanical, and software technologies across the oil field, semiconductor, and e-commerce sectors.
